And Allah presents an example of those who believed: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, "My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people." [At Tahrim, 66:11]

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

As a young Muslimah, it's inspiring to see PRAGMATIC examples of strong women in the Quran. Here I see a woman that, despite being married to a tyrant, finds her strength in relationship with her Creator. Imagine the strength she must have had: she is barren and married to one who has made it his job to murder newborns! It's a reminder to never underestimate dua. And she truly is an excellent example to the Believers, be they women or men.

The status of nobility that Allah has given to the wife of Firaun in the Jannah, the 2nd most noble of the women after Maryam alayha as-salaam is due to the fact which is highlighted in this ayah - "She had everything that a person would desire in this world of the comfort and luxury, but despite all of that she sought the akhirah, the after life because she despised the disbelief and arrogance of Firaun, it is because of this taqwaa that her status is raised."

An example for those who believe. How was Asiyah? A patient women with whom wanted to be close to Allaah who knew that no matter what tests she went through in this life she would return to Allaah. She asks as an example to us as sister UmmHurairah says for something that is high something that is the best for the believer a house near Allaah subhan wa ta'Ala. She then asks Allaah to save her from one of the worst of the disbelievers Pharaoh. " ...her save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people" Not just Pharoah but all of the wrongdoing people. Set our sights high and ask for protect. Why to not become like them to not get stuck in the actions of those around us in this world who are the wrongdoing people. May we follow this most patient and pious example that Allaah has given us in Asiyah. Ameen
And Allah ta'ala knows best

4) Here in duniya, the real estate prices go up and down and one of the criteria is what it nearby. Next to subway! Next to mall! Or we say, so and so famous celebrity lives here. Wa lillaahil mathalul a'ala. She is asking for a house hear Allaah!!! That is probably the best locality in jannah.

1) The introduction is that "Allaah presents". It is such an honour, it is like He was so pleased with her that her dua is preserved forever in Qur'aan.
2) When we make dua and ask for jannah, this is a good way to ask for it... in addition to the others such as
3) I remember the hadith where the prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam said when you ask for jannah, ask for jannatul firdaws... meaning, set your sights high. In other words, we should not settle for anything less than the BEST. So don't say, somehow just get me into jannah, any small place will do... rather ask for firdaws and have conviction that Allaah is SO merciful.
